Machinam connects what students are learning in class to the real world with interactive maths resources

 
 

Felicity is a founding Director and the Chief Marketing Officer of Machinam.

Machinam's vision is to increase participation in high school mathematics by making it relevant and engaging.

This is achieved through 

  • authentic, relevant, real world, digital mathematics resources for year 9 and 10 students that are mapped to the Australian curriculum called In Real Life
  • teacher resources and professional development workshops

 

Felicity developed and implemented the school engagement strategy, expanding Machinam's reach to Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Backed by Angel Investor Andy Grieg (ACAC Innovation), this innovative company has received awards from

  • Foundation for Young Australian's Pitch Up

Power of Engineering runs free one day events for high school students to shift their perception of engineering.

 
 

Felicity is the co-founder of Power of Engineering and led the organisation as President for six years.

Power of Engineering's signature one day event program involves hands on workshops, inspiring speakers and real life site tours of engineering. These events inspire females and regional students about engineering careers prior aiming to influence their subject selection into maths and science. 

In 2018 students who attended the program in 2012 will be graduating from university.
